Advance Payment Models and Value Based Purchasing
Brian Ellsworth – Health Dimensions Group

CMS development of Advance Payment Model options to provide higher quality and cost-efficient care has exploded over the past decade. After ten years of thinking and preparing, we will identify how member leaders view the current landscape, how they think about opportunities, and challenges incurred along the path. Brian Ellsworth, healthcare expert from Health Dimensions Group will be coordinating our discussion of member experience and challenges in negotiating this ever-changing healthcare environment.

Brian Ellsworth leads efforts at Health Dimensions Group to develop value based payment approaches to post-acute and home and community based care providers, including value based strategic positioning, bundled payment opportunities, and continue care network development. Brian has more than 30 years of experience in health care financing, delivery, and policy from both payer and provider perspective.

Managed Care Contracting from a Position of Strength
Adam Falcone – Partner, Feldesman, Tucker, Leifer, and Fidell LLP

This comprehensive session will assist members to assess their preparedness for managed care contracting – with a focus on regulatory leverage, timing, and value. Understanding contract evaluation and negotiation points is essential for success. These contracts often carry pitfalls that benefit health plans and it is critical that providers protect their interests. We hope you join us for this timely and important content.

Adam Falcone, nationally recognized healthcare expert and attorney, counsels a diverse spectrum of organizations that render healthcare services on a wide range of issues with a focus on reimbursement and payment as well as anti-trust and competition matters. He also has experience in bringing strategic counsel to those who are responding to changes in the local healthcare marketplace, including community based organizations.

Revenue Enhancement: Creating a Niche for Your Organization
Clint Maun - Maun Lemke Consulting
Profitability and Successful business growth? How has your organization moved forward in the new healthcare environment to ensure you have the value proposition and right relationships to survive and thrive?

Clint Maun, a nationally recognized expert in healthcare consulting and a long-time friend of LeadingAge Michigan will be returning this year to share his take on the current environment and actions that organizations have taken that lead to creating value for hospitals and stakeholders. Focusing on the team-based ‘absolutes’ for competitive advantage and the essentials for critical partnerships, Maun will identify the keys to post-acute care success. And of course, he will always bring that ‘Clint Maun Humor’!
