DESCRIPTION
Michigan has become the first state in the Midwest to approve recreational use of marihuana, the effective date for legalization of possession and use of marihuana in Michigan is December 6, 2018. That being said, marihuana won’t be commercially available for sale until probably early 2020, in part because the state must still put regulations in place and issue licenses for recreational sales. The Michigan State Legislature and the state Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) are responsible for determining when sales will begin. LARA has 12 months from the effective date to begin accepting applications for marijuana recreational retails stores.

The question is … What does all of this mean? Join one of our live webinars to learn more about this important issue and its impact for aging services providers. The webinar will be held on January 9 and repeated on January 16.
