MASTER TEACHER

Amy Franklin, RN, RAC-MT, DNS-MT, QCP-MT
Amy Franklin is a curriculum development specialist for AANAC’s sister organization, AADNS. In her more than 20 years of healthcare service experience, she has served as corporate compliance officer, clinical consultant (multi-state), survey crisis manager, director of nursing, infection control officer, ICD-10 CM/PCS trainer (AHIMA), and MDS coordinator. She has spoken as a subject matter expert on clinical and reimbursement issues at regional and national levels. Amy is certified as an AANAC and AADNS Master Teacher in all their certification programs (RAC-CT, Medicare University, DNS-CT, and QCP-CT). Her expertise and practice include extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations, quality assurance, and all governmental payers’ reimbursement systems. She is currently devoted to developing and implementing practical, sustainable solutions for clinical and reimbursement systems that will promote high-quality, efficient care.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This program is intended for Regional Reimbursement Corporate Consultants/Managers, Administrators, DONs, Billing Staff, Nurse Assessment Coordinators and RNs, LPNs, and other nurse managers involved in the MDS and Billing.

- Handouts will be provided to attendees electronically for this workshop. Students can download the materials to her/his device of choice to bring to the workshop. Students also have the option to download and print the materials. Access information will be sent via email to each student prior to the beginning of the workshop.

CONTINUING EDUCATION
The American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN)* is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
AAPACN* works in conjunction with the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) to provide nursing home administrators with continuing education credit for any AANAC workshop attended.
The MDS RAC-CTA will offer approved nurse CEs.

COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS
CEs for the three-day workshop are based upon actual classroom attendance for the duration of the scheduled educational activity verified through sign-in sheets. If a student must leave before the activity is schedule to end or is late arriving, he/she will not receive full CE credit. Partial credit may be awarded. Each attendee, based on sign-in sheets/attendance, will receive the CE certificate upon completion of the education activity.
AANAC MEMBERSHIP
To take advantage of the AANAC Member rate, registrants must provide a legitimate AANAC Membership number while registering. Registration forms that do not include the registrant's AANAC membership number will be charged the non-member rate for this course. To become an AANAC Member ($124/year) and take advantage of the discounted registration rate, please sign up on-line at www.AANAC.org. After you have become a member with AANAC, you will then need to return to www.LeadingAgeMI.org to register to attend the course. If you have questions about your AANAC membership, please call AANAC directly at (800) 768-1880. You do not have to be an AANAC Member to complete the program.
