DESCRIPTION

Psychotropics are commonly used in long-term care and are an area of particular scrutiny during annual surveys in LTC facilities. This session will focus on the appropriate use of psychotropic medications in all levels of long-term care. The appropriate and safe use of psychotropics goes beyond regulatory requirements. The information provided in this presentation will assist all aging services providers and their staff who care for residents/patients that benefit from the use of psychotropic medications.
