DESCRIPTION

As expected, 2019 began with continued regulatory changes for providers with more to come. We have already been addressing a lot of changes and we know more are on the horizon as we continue to prepare for the November 2019 implementation for Phase 3 of the SNF Mega Rule. To assist our members, we’ve assembled a team of high-level content experts; professionals who have first-hand knowledge of the regulatory changes. Join us for our full-day of regulatory updates that include:

  • Orlene Hawks, Director, LARA
  • Larry Horvath, Director BCHS, LARA and Michelle Roepke, Director of Federal Survey & Certification Division, LARA will provide Bureau updates.
  • Heather Hosey, Division Director Health Facility Licensing, Permits and Supports Division, BCHS, LARA and Andrea Pulido, Compliant Intake Section Manager, BCHS, LARA will give an update on the Michigan entry into ASPEN Complaint Tracking System (MI-ACTS) and review the new Michigan Facility Reported Incidents for Long Term Care (MI-FRI) system.
  • Margaret Chamberlain, Partner, Rolf Goffman Martin Lang, will review the requirements for the Compliance & Ethics regulation that will be implemented in November 2019 and discuss how the QAA & QAPI requirements are integrated with them.
