Join us for a training that has been designed to prepare the SNF interdisciplinary team for the new Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) effective October 1, 2019 by reviewing ICD 10 coding that focuses on specific coding for PDPM components and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services SNF PDPM Clinical Category Mapping. Our content expert, Julie Kearney, will also clarify the importance of the ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting FY2019 and she will summarize the general rules for use of coding conventions in Section I.A. Additionally, you will learn how to correctly use the General Coding Guidelines in Section I.B. to assign a code based on physician/non-physician practitioner diagnosis.
