Join us for a training that has been designed to prepare Administrators, Directors of Nursing and Core QAA Team members to assist them in demonstrating compliance with the new “Program Systematic Analysis and Action” requirement effective November 28, 2019. A team of content experts will discuss the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidance for this new requirement and explain how to “operationalize” it. The learners will have a better understanding of CMS’s intent and be able to learn from practical experience and utilize in their own facilities to improve quality of care for their residents.

  • Explain CMS’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) requirements and guidance
  • Describe CMS’s expectations regarding the new regulatory requirements for Performance Improvement Projects (PIP)
  • Discuss lessons learned when designing and implementing a PIP
