On September 25, our expert faculty will help you understand the basis for recent HFA rule violations, charitable intent concerns, social issues and leadership skills utilizing the servant leader model.

DESCRIPTION:
Today’s world of nuanced regulations can leave members wondering whether or not State or Federal regulations apply to their business model.

This full-day program includes HFA consultants from the Bureau of Community and Health Services and attorneys from Dykema Gossett who will help you understand the basis for recent HFA rule violations and how the charitable intent test is met per recent property tax exemption rulings. Other lively discussion points include Fair Housing topics and social issues such hoarding and guardianship. In addition, there will be a Leadership and Management skills development session for new managers that will include effective communication, delegating and empowerment utilizing the servant leader mindset.

Plan to join is if you are involved in management and operations of Assisted Living, Licensed Homes for the Aged, Housing or CCRC care settings. You won’t want to miss this program and the updates you need for your organization’s successful operations.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Management and operations of Assisted Living, Licensed Homes for the Aged, Housing and CCRC care settings.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT:

NHA: LeadingAge Michigan Educational Foundation will apply for continuing education contact hours with the Michigan Board of Nursing Home Administrators.

NURSE: LeadingAge Michigan Educational Foundation (WNA-0558-001) is an approved provider of continuing education by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Five and one-half (5.5) continuing education contact hours will be awarded for the successful completion.

COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION

In order to receive the continuing education credits for the program you must, sign in at the onsite registration desk, stay for the entire educational activity and complete the follow up survey.
