We are working hard to convert all of scheduled in-person trainings to a virtual format through May 31, 2020. Our desire is to make the move to virtual training as smooth as possible for you and your team. As soon as we have additional information regarding rescheduled events we will communicate them with members. As of April 1, 2020, we will convert our online registration platform to accept credit cards and ACH/E-Checks for ease of registration and payment processing. Please know that as LeadingAge Michigan continues to evolve we will always strive to keep our members safe and up-to-date, and deliver a tremendous learning experience in the most user- friendly format possible.


With implementation of the PDPM reimbursement system last Fall, skilled nursing facilities have had to shift focus and improve accuracy in diagnosis and coding functions.  This training has been designed to assist the interdisciplinary team better understand ICD-10 coding as it relates to PDPM components and particularly CMS Clinical Category Mapping. 

Julie Kearney, billing content expert, will also clarify the importance of using the ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting FY2019 and the general rules for use of coding conventions.  Most importantly, NaviHealth use of diagnoses related to Medicare Advantage Plan benefits will be a focus.

NURSE: The LeadingAge Michigan Educational Foundation is approved as a provider (#0558-001) of nursing continuing professional development by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This program will award four (4.0) nursing contact hour.

Four (4.0) contact hours will be awarded per successful completion of each event.
