MEMBER UPDATE: The Center for Senior Independence Appoints President & CEO

 Mary Kummer Naber has been appointed president and chief executive officer of The Center for Senior Independence (CSI), effective Sept. 22. CSI is the provider of the Program for the All Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE) serving qualified seniors across the majority of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.

In her new position with CSI, Naber will oversee the strategic and administrative leadership and management responsibilities for comprehensive organizational and operational success.

Naber comes to CSI with an extensive career in health care executive leadership. She most recently served as president of her own management consulting firm. From 1999 through 2013 Naber held multiple senior executive roles including chief administrative officer for St. John Providence and Ascension’s Michigan market.

She received an MBA from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, a BA in Psychology and Business from Oakland University and is a graduate of Leadership Detroit Class XXXII. Naber is a lifelong resident of the Detroit region, married and the mother of 4 young adult children.

She holds active affiliations with numerous professional and community organizations, including Inforum, American College of Healthcare Executives, Detroit Cristo Rey President’s Advisory Board, Success Mile Academy, Children’s Center of Detroit Board Committee and SHRM/ASHHRA.
